Skin care tips for oily skin during summer

Most of us love summer because of those beach trips, vacation and the extra daylight. But then all those sweat, the strong sunlight are not really the favorite part of summer. Especially if you have oily skin, then summer season won’t be favorable. You will be mostly caught up in thinking how to prevent your skin from getting too greasy as a result of which you have guests arriving on your skin which are none other than acnes and pimples. Some acnes and pimples are so stubborn that they even leave a scar behind.


So, you have a lot to do in order to take care of your oily skin during summer. Choose your skin care products carefully and also follow these basic tips to maintain your oily skin during the summer.

§  When it comes to take care of your oily skin then always choose products that have a mattifying effect. So, the first step is to cleanse your skin using clay based cleanser or no scars facewash. These cleansers remove the impurities from the depth of your skin without over drying it. It also helps to the excess oil from the skin and gives it a fresh look.

§  Don’t ever skip a moisturizer even if you have oily skin. No matter what the type of your skin is, a moisturizer is a must. For oily skin, use a light weight, water based and oil free moisturizer. It will help you to keep the skin hydrated and also give you a matte look.

§  After moisturizing your skin, don’t forget to put on a sunscreen that has a broad spectrum or higher SPF. Take other measures to protect your skin from the sunlight such as wearing long sleeves, long pants, and sunglasses and most importantly, reapply sunscreen every two hours. Oil free and non-comedogenic sunscreens are perfect for oily skin.

§  Always include exfoliation in your daily skin care routine and is necessary for oily skin. It will effectively remove the dead skin cells that often build up causing acnes. You can exfoliate your skin after using no scars facewash for pimples that helps in preventing acnes and lightens acne scars. So, exfoliate your skin three times a week for best results to prevent clogging of pores.

§  A face mask should be used to mattify the look of your skin complexion. For oily skin, you may want to add this during the summer. A clay mask is the most appropriate one as it helps to draw the dirt, impurity and oil from deep inside the skin effectively. Use this mask for at least three times a week.

§  If you have to travel a lot during summer then make sure to carry a travel friendly cleanser which you can put on a cotton pad and sweep it across your face to clean it.
